Welcome to the ten minute MBA, I'm yourhost Scott de Clary on the ten mine MBA. I give you tools, tactic strategies, insights that you can use to start scale grow or ten X, your business.Today, I'm going to be handing you over to Amberley Lago. She is going to speakabout mindset, resilience. I know you're, probably think Scott. I want tolearn something that can help me blow my instagram or El me close the nextdeal, but I really do believe that mindset is a major key in the road tobeing successful at building a business starting your own thing. Getting thatcareer advancement that raise whatever it is resilience is huge. I don't lovegoing all in on mindset, content because there's a lot of tactical stuffthey need to do to, but there is something to be said for being able tobe resilient and Amberley is the most resilient person I've ever met. Shealmost lost everything when she got into a major accident, she had tobasically relearn how to do most things,...

...most physical things through mindsetthrough a porus physical rehabilitation. She has an incredible store and youshould go check out and bile logo and she speaks globally at telling herstory and basically inspiring people with the stuff that she has had toovercome throughout her career. But today we got it for ten minutes andshe's going to talk to you about resilience, something. I think everyonecould use a little bit more of something that she lives every singleday and continues to live. I hope you enjoy well. I think that, especially witheverything going on right now and here in California, we've got our maskmandate back and at times are uncertain and just figuring up being anentrepreneur is our workouts are different. Things are always changing. We usually have several different pets that we wear for a few differentbusinesses or more, and so I think that it's so important to work on ourresilience and that's something that we can do every single day and it'ssomething that we can do in a moment...

...where we feel tired or we feel anxietyor we're, starting to feel like we're going to hit a wall, and so for me, andI have something called Pacer and it stands for perspective, acceptance, community, endurance and rest- and we talked a little bit touched on that alittle bit throughout the conversation, but perspective, I think, is really thequickest and easiest way to change the way you feel about your situation, andI think that that can be in any way whether it's your financial situation, whether it's your getting caught up on, comparing yourself to someone else onsocial media or how much success they have versus that what you have or or ifyou're, anxious about something a big event that you have coming out. I thinkit's important to get grateful and when you're in gratitude it's Alchemy, itchanges what you don't have into what we do have and what you can't do intowhat you can do and just last night I...

...will share with you. We went out on thedate for our anniversary and it's the first time I've tried to put bills onnow my ankles fused and and my foots deformed, but I managed to put thislittle hell on it's only about that big. But I was like I want to feel like osexy for our anniversary and we get home and I I fell getting out the carby the way just to say, but I wore the hills and I tried my best to walk theright way. Okay, listen those people that haven't had accidents that fallgetting out of the car wearing. He lit heel, so o my husband just like he just shook hishead. He was like, Oh Gosh, why didn't you just wear your boots? You know, butI'm like I'm doing it and it's these little small accomplishments that we doeven if we don't do them. Well that they start to build our confidence andmake us feel good, but when we got home set in the middle of the bathroom floorand I was taking the strap that looked like more of a tourniquet around myswollen cankal and I'm like- Oh my God-...

...and I just was looking at my leg kindof been discussed, and he goes when I look at your leg, I say: Oh, my God,what a miracle it's a miracle! You have your leg and pet shifted my perspectivelike yeah. It is a miracle. I went from disgust to gratitude, real, quick andsometimes I think that if we have a hard time shifting our perspective,it's important to surround ourselves with people that can help us do thatand in order to have resilience or any kind of transformation leads me to thenext part of Pacer, which is acceptance and that's sometimes easier said thandone. For me, it was really hard. I was using in denial about being diagnosedwith a nerve disease. I had to accept that I could no longer run the way thatI used to. I can run to chase. After myy daughter and I did just beat her ina contest running from a stop sign to...

...the car, she's always competing with meand my husband's like you, let a little little lady beat you to the car and I'mlike that's right, and so I still can run it's not always pretty, but I can'tdo it but acceptance. I felt like it felt like defeat, and I had to shift myperspective on that. Acceptance is really your its freedom. It gives youthe choice to take action, steps to make your life the best that it can beand when we are in acceptance and we're authentic with our feelings and whatwe're going through. Oh, my goodness, that's when we can start to have thelife that we've always imagined and that's what really changed things forme and it led me to a community of people on instagram in my sobriety community. You know in my life- and I thinkcommunities you know is the next part of Pacer and I think it might be themost important part of Pacer, because...

...when we have community it's powerfuland sorry, if you can fear the gardener you just got here. No, I can that's the life of being an ovid right.I Goryeo, but community is so powerful. I felt soalone when I was going through some of the darkest moments of my life and Ican guarantee you that, if you're feeling alone right now and you'relistening to this and you're feeling like well, nobody understands what I'mgoing through nobody's going to get me. I don't know where to turn I guaranteethere is somebody more than one person, that's going through exactly whatyou're going through and so reach out reach out to someone, and youknow what that doesn't even have to be somebody that you know I connected to acommunity of Carpus warriors when I started looking at the Hashtags, the RP s warrior. I wanted to be connected...

...with people that were had passion anddrive, and so I think it's really important to take a look at the peoplethat you surround yourself with and that doesn't just go for the peoplethat are in your family and your life. I know we can't get rid of familymembers, but we can limit the time that we spend with them if they're, bringingus down or they're, not belete, don't believe in our vision or our dreams andand that's okay, people won't always believe in your vision or your dream. It's important that you do and that you find people to connect with betterpassionate, and that goes for social media too. If somebody that you'refollowing brings you down, I follow people who are paving the waywho inspire you and because it takes a lotof endurance and that's the next part of Pacer Endurance, I think, is whenour grit and our passion come into play. It's where you knowwe're not always going to be motivated,...

...but if we look at why we're doingsomething we focus on our Y, then, like I said before, it gets us throughalmost anyhow, but I think that we have to in order to have endurance. I thinkit's important to set up really healthy habits and not rely on motivation orwill power, because let me tell you that: will power is out the door if weare overtired, if we haven't eaten, if we haven't taken care of our health, soset up those healthy habits, and that's why I think I've been able to getthrough Ovid in a pretty graceful way, because I've set up healthy habits, notto say it's been easy, but because I have this strong foundation of habitsof non negotiables in my life that I do. I know that I have that foundation totap into my inter source of resilience and which leads me to the last partthat I'm horrible at like. Well, I'm...

...going to rephrase that I'm gettingbetter at it. It's rests and I on when I was explaining what I do every day to be moreresilient to my husband, I said honey. I've got Quito, that's going to help meget through every day. If I just remind myself of these things and I'mexplaining it to him and he's like I get to the word or rest and he's like you are so full of Shit Conan, I don't usually cuss, but whodoes- and I was like what do you mean he goes you don't rest? He goes yeah. You do all that other stuff, but you don't rest and it was really a wake upcall N. I had to learn the hard way of being hospitalized after going scepticfrom not looking at what was going on in my body and pushing and pushing- andI was good at the grip, but I think it's so important to be resilient. Wehave to strategically stop sometimes and plan times to rest and recover and, however, that may look like that might...

...be taken a break after zooms and goingout in nature, taking your shoes off walking through the grass and gettinggrounded taken time to play. You Know Scheduling Out Times where you do havesome time off to be created like if we don't rest, it's hard to sparkcreativity when I'm rested and I can get out there and do some of the thingsthat I love and I mean I love my work, but how I can keep moving forward withmy work is, if I do things to take care of myself, if I do set an alarm on myphone for okay, it's time to shut off the devices and go to bed, the emailswill wait till tomorrow. The text messages will wait till to morrow. Thesocial media is done for the day and I think, as an entrepreneur with ourhours being all over the place that it's really important to schedule outthose times to rest. All right that's differ today. I hope you enjoy it again.Another master class in mindset and Basilian something that I really thinkthat you should just pause and take the...

...thought and take a second to appreciateif you're going to be building anything yeah, it's important to take action, but what drives action? It's not motivation for a lot of us. It is themindset that keeps us going long term that gratitude that resilience thattenacity, that perseverance that will take us places long after themotivation has died off, and I really really hope that anybody who'slistening to this, who wants to excel in a business sense, understands theimportance of mindset in maintaining that energy long term. anyways.Remember any business questions you got! Don't worry! I got you I'll try and dosomething, maybe a little bit more tactical tomorrow night, but I hope youenjoyed. This has been another ten minute. NBA have a great night I'll seeyou tomorrow. I.
